This is a Sculpture I'm making out of Magic Sculpt. Its a new material that's pretty good. It depicts a Buddist monk rising from a skull suspended by his robe. I used cooper armitures to strnegthen the magic sculpt to support his weight.
I'm using simple bungee cables to secure the work to a 'lazy susan' so I can work on it. Eventually, it'll need to be secured to a base that is substantial enough to accommodate the piece's asymetrical distrubtion of weight.

In Tibetan art the skull with eyes, a tongue, ears, and a heart hanging ing out the top of a skull represents transcendence oever the blandishments of the senses.
I may add a lotus with the skull form whihc the robes are attached, or I may include eyes, ears, tounge and heart coming out of the skull with the monk.
Maybe the notion of the transmitgration of the soul? Who knows. I might end up being punk rock.

To the left is a sketch for the painting below, in two stages. I may try and animate these together in Flash when I'm done with the painting.
I've noticed a disturbing trend towards bald people and babies?
Weird. |

He looks like he's going through Chemo. He may just end up abandoning his divinity or being an angel unaware; like when you see someone homeless and you think that maybe they are an angel. |

So here's where I'm at on this now. If you look carefully you can see my kitten in front of the painting while I took the photo. |
| Here it is again nearing completion. |
