This is a Sculpture I'm making out of Magic Sculpt. Its a new material that's pretty good. It depicts a Buddist monk rising from a skull suspended by his robe. I used cooper armitures to strnegthen the magic sculpt to support his weight.

I'm using simple bungee cables to secure the work to a 'lazy susan' so I can work on it. Eventually, it'll need to be secured to a base that is substantial enough to accommodate the piece's asymetrical distrubtion of weight.

In Tibetan art the skull with eyes, a tongue, ears, and a heart hanging ing out the top of a skull represents transcendence oever the blandishments of the senses.

I may add a lotus with the skull form whihc the robes are attached, or I may include eyes, ears, tounge and heart coming out of the skull with the monk.

Maybe the notion of the transmitgration of the soul? Who knows. I might end up being punk rock.

Found this killer base at Lowes on the clearence shelf for $10.00! Flipped it up side down.

Completed Sculpture entitled "Shattering the Vessel"

He looks like he's going through Chemo. He may just end up abandoning his divinity or being an angel unaware; like when you see someone homeless and you think that maybe they are an angel.
